The Drops of Hope Foundation was first established in 2014 by Rev. Chrysogonus Nwele, Ph.d. of Nigeria who was working in the United States for the Catholic Church. Father Chrysogonus began by sending approximately 1/3 of his own monthly wages to Nigeria in an effort to help the improverished people of his village.
In 2018, Drops of Hope filed for and was awarded 501(c)3 status from the IRS and a Board of Directors was established.
